How Does it Work?

The Actors Company perform in two Theatre Productions a year, with each production offering three performances. Joining the company involves:

  • Weekly Saturday rehearsals for 7 weeks
  • Final Sunday tech rehearsal
  • Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening performances
  • Chance to perform to a paying audience

Who Can Join?

To join The Actors Company it is necessary to come along to an  Audition. There is nothing to prepare, just come along ready to have some fun and work creatively with company members and the director. Book your audition here > >

Company Director

The City Academy Actors Company is led by award-winning actor and director Simon Wegrzyn

Simon’s performance credits span BBC drama and productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Simon loves teaching and watching his students make a breakthrough – seeing a performance transform into something that feels real and believable. His focus is on bringing a group together and creating an environment that is safe and daring.

All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
