Available as either a 2-day intensive or a 6-week course, this creative writing class gives you the time and structure to experiment with different writing techniques, develop original material and understand how stories are shaped. Working with an experienced writing tutor, you will explore character, plot, dialogue, setting and style through guided exercises, discussion and supportive feedback. Whether you are starting from a blank page or already have ideas you would like to develop, this course will help you take the next step in your writing. Across weekly sessions, you will explore different elements of creative writing, with space between classes to reflect, practise and develop your ideas. This format is ideal if you would like regular creative structure, ongoing tutor support and the chance to grow in confidence over time. You will be able to return to your writing each week with fresh insight, building your skills step by step. 2-day intensive The 2-day format gives you a focused introduction to creative writing over one weekend. It is ideal if you want an immersive experience, prefer intensive learning in a concentrated format, or would like to make creative progress in a short space of time. Across the two days, you will take part in a range of writing exercises, explore key techniques and begin developing your own ideas with tutor guidance. You will leave with a stronger understanding of how fiction works and a selection of writing you can continue developing.
