Our Musical Theatre Ballet Lessons are designed to improve your dance skills with a fun and less formal approach to ballet technique.
All styles of musical theatre dance, being jazz, contemporary, modern or tap, have some base in ballet, this 4 week musical theatre course will provide you with a knowledge of basic ballet technique that will help you in all the other styles and it will give you a better understanding of your posture, alignment and coordination.
The 2 hour sessions will combine a comprehensive ballet class, with barre work, centre practise, jumps and turns, all to your favourite show tunes. With a ballet based choreographed Musical Theatre routine that will close with a conditioning session to improve your strength and flexibility, you will experience technique the fun way!
Musical Theatre Ballet is perfect for Musical Theatre students to improve their dance skills as well as ballet students wanting to try a different approach to it, focusing more on choreography and performance along to a unconventional soundtrack to the standard ballet experience.
This course is suitable for absolute beginners and students with previous dance experience.

No Venue
All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
No Tutor
Our adult Ballet Summer Schools focus on classical ballet techniques, you will also learn ballet history, terminology and excerpts from famous ballets and experience being ‘en Pointe’.
