Documentary Filmmaking courses
Seemab Gul is a documentary filmmaker, director and camera operator.
Seemab studied at the prestigious London Film School where she completed the interdisciplinary Masters in Filmmaking. She went on to field produce a feature documentary called ‘The Kingdom of Mister Edhi’, which won the Silver Award at Biarritz FIPA.
Seemab has been commissioned by Channel 4, CBA WorldView and Arts Council England. Her recent films were exhibited at the Geneva Contemporary Art Centre, London Short Film Festival, DokLeipzig and other international film festivals. Her rich portfolio includes documentaries, animation, hybrid films and art installations.
Seemab is a passionate documentary filmmaking teacher who enjoys sharing her skills and knowledge with others and encouraging her students to be proactive and ambitious with their films. Her classes are insightful, inspiring and informative – mixing documentary theory with practice.
