This immersive and practical four week Screen Acting Intensive course equips you with the techniques and industry know-how to kick start your career in acting for film and TV.
From Monday to Friday over four consecutive weeks, you will be taught by a team of specialist screen acting tutors who are both professional actors and facilitator. In addition you'll enjoy industry masterclasses from a Casting Director and an Acting Agent. These experts will review your recordings, provide personalised feedback and be available for Q&A providing you with valuable insights to help you take that next step. Throughout the course you'll work individually and collaboratively on weekly projects while receiving comprehensive training in character development, script analysis, composition and blocking, voice and movement, responding to direction and audition preparation.
Like many of our screen acting classes, extracurricular practice is recommended to support your work in class, this includes researching topics and learning lines in your own time. Weeks 1 and 2 focus on skills development and in weeks 3 and 4 we'll bring everything together as you work, as a cast, towards your final short film. In weeks 3 and 4 of this course you will feature in a short film directed, filmed and edited by a professional crew. Your short film will be approximately 10mins in length and will be edited and sent via email within 2-4 weeks. Previous students have used the film as part of their showreel, to approach agents and garner auditions.

Screen Acting Intensive Course Content
On this course you will take part in the following:
- Fundamental vocal and movement techniques used for screen acting to create truthful performances in different contexts
- Creative character development and text analysis using approaches such as Method Acting from practioners Meisner, Stanislavski and Uta Hagen
- Session with a professional portrait photographer to produce an industry standard headshot
- Identifying and playing subtext to create believable characters and truthful performances for screen
- Practical introduction to the audition process across multiple genres including film, tv and commercials
- Perfect the solo self-tape while working your strengths on screen
- Masterclass and Q&A with industry Casting Director
- Masterclass and Q&A with Acting Agent
- On-set etiquette, gaining an understanding of industry related roles, equipment and terminology
- Collaborative short film project filmed in pairs and edited within 2-4 weeks

4 weeks, full time (Mon - Fri). Outside of class time preparation required. This course is taught in English.

For anyone who completed an Acting Beginners or those with more experience.
