Tessa Wood is a voice & communication coach with over twenty years’ experience.
She graduated with an AGSM in Speech & Voice and Dip Ed. in drama from The Guildhall School of Music & Drama and holds a PGDVS (now the MA in Voice) from The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama.
Tessa pursued an acting career that took her to London’s West End, TV and film, and feels her experience of performance greatly helps her to approach clients’ needs with sensitivity and understanding.
She works mainly in the corporate sector coaching middle to senior management. Developing vocal skill and an increased awareness of non-verbal messages underpins all her work, but she also focuses on confidence-building, accent smoothing, public speaking / presentations, and assertiveness. Her sessions include simple but effective exercises backed up with practice sheets and application of the work, sometimes using role-play.
Tessa recently performed at The Almeida Theatre, London in Thornton Wilder’s highly acclaimed production of Our Town, and has three films coming out this year.
Recent & ongoing clients include:
Glaxo Smith Kline, BP, North Highland, BNP Paribas, The ICAEW, The AAT, Network Rail.
