Zara Nunn

Zara Nunn

Zara Nunn trained at the University of Glamorgan, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and London College of Music. In 2019 she was commissioned by The Canales Project and the University of Wolverhampton in partnership with the United Nations Decade of Women to write a song for the Hear Her Song initiative.

In addition to her professional composing and musical direction engagements, Zara has worked extensively in music and theatre education and specialised in major large-scale devising and performance projects both in the UK and overseas. Her credits include Cinderella at The Oxford Playhouse, for which she was nominated for Best MD in the GB Panto Awards; Josephine at Bear Trap Theatre/The Egg, Theatre Royal Bath; The Tempest, Watford Palace Theatre and Alice in Wonderland, The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe, Royal Theatre (Royal & Derngate), Northampton, to name a few.

As a self-confessed live theatre addict, Zara thrives on the actions, reactions and interactions generated in the moment. She always looks forward to getting into a room of new performers and creating something special.

As a singing teacher with classes that are ensemble-building focussed, enjoyably challenging, practical, engaging and inclusive, Zara aims to demystify things like the dark arts of part-singing, harmony and counterpoint.
