Connor Fogel

Musical Theatre

Connor started his career studying piano at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Following his passion for music, he then went on to gain a Masters in Musical Direction from Mountview Academy of Performing Arts.

From his extensive training as a pianist, Connor has won many coveted awards and prizes including The Phillipa Whitlaw-Yardley Memorial Prize, The Eric Hodges Prize and The Princess Diana Memorial Award. He was also a finalist in the 2016 Royal Welsh Concerto Competition.

In 2016 Connor became the first ever recipient of The Musicians Company Musical Director Award, and became a yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians.

Connor has also worked for ITV as an on-screen harpsichordist, and has recorded music for Prima Facie Records. Many of his own musical compositions have been recorded by artists such as the Lux Quartet and the Messiaen Quartet, for which Connor is the pianist.

As a Musical Director, his past credits include Grande Hotel (Unicorn Theatre), Lockhart (Bernie Grant Arts Centre), The Phantom of the Opera (Redgrave Theatre, Bristol) and Into the Woods (Dewstow Gardens).
