Ashley Walsh

Ashley is an award winning Composer and professional Musical Director & Orchestrator. His work has been performed in regional theatres and Off West-End. His recent musical ‘The Jury’ was a success at the Brindley theatre in July and is transferring to Upstairs at the Gatehouse in February 2020. Following the success of ‘The Jury’, Ashley’s Musical ‘Closets’ received rave reviews at its sell-out run at the Hope Mill Theatre. Ashley was commissioned by Tramshed Theatre in 2019 to compose a devised musical for LGBT+ elders. Ashley has recently been appointed as a Musical Supervisor for AIDA Cruises. 

Ashley’s Musical Direction credits include; ‘Wizard of Oz’ (UK Tour), ’Sleeping Beauty (Northwich Memorial Court)’, ‘Throbbin’ Wood, Snow White and Once Upon A Panotomim (Online Panto’s for Anton Benson Productions)’, ‘The Snow Queen UK Tour’,’Beauty and the Beast UK Tour’ (Anton Benson Productions). ‘Sleeping Beauty’ (Gracie Fields Theatres, Anton Benson Productions). ‘Letters’ (The Circus House and RNCM), ‘I ’Peter Pan’ (LHK Productions Epstein Theatre), ‘Tess of the d’Ubervilles’ (Winchester Theatre Royal, Youth Music Theatre, Assistant MD), ‘Aladdin’ (Elite Productions – Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre), ‘Les Miserables’ (SYMT – Capitol Theatre). 

His original musicals include ‘Closets’ (Hope Mill Theatre), ‘The Jury’ (The Brindley Theatre, Upstairs at the Gatehouse), ’Pandora’ (Mercury Musical S&S Award Shortlist 2014, GSA, Ivy Arts Centre, National Youth Music Camp and The Union Theatre).
