Nikki trained as a musical theatre performer at London Studio Centre. After several years working as a performer, she moved into vocational performing arts training, teaching singing. Having then spent three years as Head of Musical Theatre at BodyWork Company Dance Studios in Cambridge, and four years as Head of Musical Theatre at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, she now teaches with City Academy.
Alongside this, she worked for 15 years as a Musical Director, training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As such, she is an expert in managing auditions, and the many and varied performance situations that occur during theatre training and onwards into the profession.
In 2020 Nikki graduated with an MSc (Master of Science) with Distinction in Creative Arts and Mental Health from Queen Mary University of London, having chosen this degree due to a passion for helping performers overcome the mental health issues that stand between them and achieving their full potential.
