Abigail Welford started dancing at the Sussex School of Dance in Eastbourne where she performed in many pantomimes at the Devonshire Park Theatre. She was then awarded the Gillian Lyne scholarship to train at Bird College of Dance.
Whilst at college Abigail played Jenny Lind in Barnham, Annie Besant in The Match Girls, Hermia in Midsummer Night’s Dream and Shen Teh in The Good Person of Szechwan. After graduating Abi travelled the world performing on the MV Aurora, Oriana, and Oceana. Some of the shows included: Elvis – Carole Todd, Poptastic – Brian Rodgers, Rave On Paul Elliot and Red Hot and Fosse, which Abigail co-directed for David Morgan.
Abigail was dance captain for P&O Aurora and the UK tour of Annie. Some of her TV credits include GMTV London Fashion Week, Sony commercial and as a dancer on Joseph meets Maria for the BBC.
As a highly experienced dancer and jazz dance tutor with over ten years of experience owning her own Theatre Academy, Abigail has taught a wide range of students of all ages and abilities in a variety of dance styles.
