Alanna Stone

Alanna Stone is a director, performer, and teacher originally from Toronto, Canada. She trained in Music Theatre Performance at Sheridan Institute and went on to obtain her MA in Theatre Directing from East 15 Acting School.

As a musical theatre company director, she has lots of experience directing having directed the musical Poppies at The Space Theatre, and was nominated for Best Director for the musical tick, tick…Boom! at the Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.

Her teaching style is collaborative, working with actors to explore the language, context and music to help their emotional connection and character choices. She likes to give her students ownership of their work and encourage their excitement to perform.
