Ashley Jacobs

After graduating from the University of Leeds with a BA (Hons) in Music, Ashley went on to complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Musical Direction from Mountview in 2017. Since then he has been freelancing as a professional Musical Director and has a wealth of experience as a performer and teacher. 

He has recently finished MDing productions of Mack & Mabel and Betty Blue Eyes at Preparation Performance Academy in Guildford. Ashleys was Associate Musical Director for West Side Story at the Bishopsgate Institute. He also played keyboard on the Original London Cast recording of Michael John LaChiusa’s ‘Queen Of The Mist’, which was also performed at the Charing Cross Theatre in 2019. He has also worked across Australia New Zealand. Upcoming Musical Director credits include, Sweet Charity at Institute of the Arts Barcelona, and Sasha Regan’s All Male HMS Pinafore at Wilton’s Music Hall and Theatre Royal Winchester.

Ashley creates a very welcoming and inclusive environment and aims to keep his sessions light-hearted and energetic whilst always maintaining a manageable pace.
