Erika Gundesen is a distinguished pianist, musical theatre coach and conductor who has trained and performed internationally. She received a BMus from the University of British Columbia, in addition to a Masters in Piano Performance and an Artist Diploma from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

While studying in Canada, Erika made it to the finals in two prestigious competitions – the Canadian Music Competition and the Knigge International Piano Competition. She has coached at the Scottish Opera, LAMDA and Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and has a collection of impressive credits as a freelance pianist and conductor.

Her recent work includes Queen of the Mist (Charing Cross Theatre), Rigoletto (Scottish Opera), Sweeney Todd, My Fair Lady (Geoids Musical Theatre), West Side Story (Vivo D’Arte), and Titanic (Theatre Under the Stars Vancouver).

Erika’s classes are focussed but she ensures they’re always energetic and fun. Her favourite thing about teaching is sharing her own passion, and seeing her students become just as passionate about Musical Theatre.
