Kate Delamere

Kate is an author, editor, journalist and lecturer. Recent publications creditors include editor of A Disciple by Feroze Dada published by Mensch and Bloomsbury, India. Her Little Book of Affirmations has been published in May 2022. Alongside a career in national TV, newspapers and magazines, Kate did an MA in TV scriptwriting at De Montfort University. She was one of 16 professional writers selected for the North West scheme Writerslab, where she wrote an original drama series script mentored by TV Executive Richard Fee at Red Productions. Kate also worked on a team writing project with award winning TV Screenwriter and Producer Paul Abbott (Touching Evil, Clocking Off, State of Play, Shameless, Hit & Miss, No Offence) and was selected to attend the BBC Doctors’ Shadow Scheme for Writers. She worked as a script editor on a produced short film (2019) and was mentored by former head of BBC College of Comedy, Michel Jacobs.

Kate has held a post as writer in residence for four theatres in Lincolnshire for Theatre Writing Partnerships and associate artist at Northampton’s Royal and Derngate Theatres, devising and mentoring writers on scripts for stage. She has published short stories, comedy monologues and poetry in anthologies and written/devised produced community theatre.
