Carmina Bernhardt

Carmina is an actor, writer, director and freelance script reader and script consultant. Graduating with Distinction from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s MA Acting for Screen and receiving a BA in Music Theatre Performance from Capilano University in Vancouver, she has built nearly two decades of industry experience in both Canada and the UK.

As a writer, she was selected for the inaugural London Library’s Emerging Writers Award and the New Earth Theatre’s BESEA Professional Writers Programme. She has been commissioned by the Science Museum, New Earth Theatre and the London Library.

As an actor, she has worked with notable companies such as Tara Theatre, New Diorama and New Earth Theatre, and is represented by New Wonder Management. As a creator, she has taken multiple ideas from conception to successful completion and has several short films, digital content, and theatre shows under her belt.

She has read for Sky Original Films, the London Library, and Breaking Through the Lens. She currently reads for BBC Studios Writers’ Academy.
