Jordan Li-Smith

Jordan is a composer and playwright, based in London. He is currently working on several projects, including an adaption of a major feature film

Aside from writing, Jordan is an award winning musical director & orchestrator having trained at the Royal Academy Of Music as a Sir Elton John Scholar. He is also a proud alumnus of the National Youth Music Theatre and an Associate of the London College Of Music.

Most recently, Jordan won the 2018 BroadwayWorld UK Award for Best Musical Direction for his work on the world premiere production of The Assassination Of Katie Hopkins, seeing off
competition from Hamilton and Fun Home. His other notable Musical Direction credits include the acclaimed actor-musician revival of Ragtime at Charing Cross Theatre, for which he won the inaugural Off West End (Offies) Award for Best Musical Director. Other credits include; The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin (Theatre Royal, Stratford East), Some Lovers (The Other Palace), Through The Mill (Southwark Playhouse). Jordan has recently worked on the feature film Rocketman, as children’s casting Musical Director.

As an educator of musical theatre, Jordan has taught at the Royal Academy Of Music, LAMDA,Mountview, MTA & The Hammond, having also musically directed productions at Guildford School of Acting, Urdang Academy, Royal Academy Of Music, British Theatre Academy & Momentum Performing Arts Academy. Jordan is Artistic Director of Jord&Co. Productions.
