Singing Foundation

Bernadette Doyla trained in Theatre and Performing Arts at the accredited Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance and has honed her craft recording, writing and performing as both a solo artist, backing vocalist and group singer. She is also a member of the Urban Voices Collective: a prestigious performance group made up of singers from a variety of musical backgrounds – from church singers to recording artists – bringing together some of the strongest and most adaptable vocal talent in London.

Her credits include BBC Proms with Paloma Faith, Tim Rice – A Life in Song with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Laura Mvula and Roger Daltry (BBC), Diversity Live (ITV) and VA Day 70 with Alfie Boe (BBC). Berni can also be heard with UVC on Paloma Faith’s album A Perfect Contradiction.

Bernadette is a passionate tutor, who loves mentoring a wide range of singers at all stages of their development. As Head of Singing and Music, she works across a number of courses, with a focus on individual development, performance skills and acting through song – with the aim to develop musicality and instil confidence in all her students.
