Christine Weir is a seasoned singer and sung in many musical genres with her favourites being Celtic, Folk, Pop, Musical Theatre and Rock. She has a Dip LCM voice (TD), Estill Level 1 and 2 certificates, Lovetri Somatic Voicework Level 1, 2, and 3 certificates, she is currently completing her Estill Figure Proficiency Diploma, and with 3 decades of singing behind her, she has a lot of first-hand knowledge to pass on.
Her music is regularly played on Folk and Celtic radio shows such as Celtic Music Radio, Blues and Roots Radio and many others. True to her Scottish roots she tries to incorporate something of Scottish traditional sounds into the songs that she writes by using instruments like Bagpipes and Tin Whistle, or using Scottish/Celtic folklore as her subject matter.

She has performed in the award winning musical ‘Honk!’ and was the resident singer in the Extravaganza at South Africa’s, Sun City, from 2002 to 2005. From 2017 to 2019 she ran a successful Celtic show in Cape Town called ‘Christine and the Kilts’. And in 2021 her podcast ‘Under the Kilt’ was nominated for Best Podcast in the South African Radio Awards 2021.
