Beginners Singing
Phillip is a performer, vocal coach and singing teacher with twenty years’ experience. He studied classical singing performance as an undergraduate and later musical theatre and singing teaching at the esteemed Royal Academy of Music under the instruction of west-end vocal coach Mary Hammond.
He is one of very few vocal coaches who has achieved ‘EMT’ (Estill Master Trainer) status in the Estill Voice model under the mentorship of Licensed Estill Voice Craft Practitioner (Vanguard) Anne-Marie Speed.
Phillip works closely with performers in the West End and leads a singing clinic in London for professional voice users where he specialises in voice ‘trouble-shooting’, technique and vocal health.
He is also senior singing tutor at Bird College and is currently working towards the highest level qualification possible in the UK in soft tissue therapy with a specialisation in Laryngeal Manual Therapy.
His classes are friendly and relaxed, with a strong focus on technicality and vocal safety.
