R&B Grooves Workshop

From TLC and Usher to the new sounds of Jorja Smith and Tinashe. Our R&B Grooves Workshop will teach you timeless choreography to soulful grooves.

You will learn a routine to one of your favourite R&B tunes with freeing and energising moves. Suitable for beginners and those with previous dance experience, get ready to lose your inhibitions and feel confident in the way you move.

This is a routine based workshop that will focus on learning a set piece of choreography that will change each time you take one of these dance classes.

R&B Grooves Workshop content

During this workshop you will:

  • Discover new ways to groove and get your body moving
  • Learn a set routine to either a new R&B tune or an old classic
  • Work on each move at slow and medium tempos before putting them to music
  • Be given the opportunity to add your own style to the choreography 
  • Perform in a small group for the rest of the class

Membership Subscription Details 

Membership to the Company will cover you for all classes, rehearsals and all shows from your joining date. The Company rehearses throughout the year, with the following breaks: Easter (one week break), Summer (3-week break) and Christmas.

To make membership fees more manageable, these breaks are accounted for within your monthly instalments across the year. This means there are no breaks in your monthly payments.

Cash & Cheque Payments

Cash - You are welcome to pay cash, just come and see us at our office: City Academy, 38 Rosebery Avenue, London, EC1R 4RN

Cancellations Policy

We offer a full refund or full credit if you cancel at least 72 hours before your first Company rehearsal.
We cannot offer any refund if you cancel less than 72 hours before your first Company rehearsal.

No Venue

All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
