All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.

  • Master foundational Shuffle & Shapes footwork including the Running Man, T-Step, Charleston, and core Shapes basics
  • Understand key transitions that connect steps with flow, control, and direction changes
  • Explore variations of the core steps so your dancing looks more natural and personal
  • Develop musicality so you can hit beats with confidence and stay in sync with the music
  • Build stamina and coordination through drills, repetition, and progressive combos
  • Incorporate introductory House elements to strengthen your groove, bounce, and rhythm
  • Perform a high-energy combo that brings everything together with confidence
  • Warm up safely using dynamic stretching and mobility work to support your body as you train
