Step up from foundations into sharper technique, faster footwork, and more advanced transitions. This intermediate course deepens your Shapes vocabulary and develops your Melbourne Shuffle - building the control, musicality, and stamina you need to dance with confidence.

What you’ll learn

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Refine technique in both Shapes and Melbourne Shuffle foundations
  • Demonstrate cleaner execution and stronger control across all footwork
  • Perform higher-level variations of Shuffle & Shapes steps
  • Connect movements with confident, seamless transitions (even at speed)
  • Apply stronger musicality including rhythm changes, accents, and speed control
  • Build footwork speed, precision, and stamina through targeted drills
  • Incorporate House Dance elements to enhance groove, flow, and versatility
  • Combine variations into more complex combos with clarity and confidence
  • Consolidate Shuffle skills and improve consistency across steps
  • Perform a full Shuffle & Shapes choreography confidently in Week 7
