Athena Choi-Ha Leung began her dance training at the age of eight, developing a versatile repertoire that spans Chinese Classical Dance, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Commercial, and Breaking. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) in Dance from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and an MA in Creative Practice (Dance Professionals) from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
As a freelance dancer, Athena has collaborated with renowned choreographers including Holly Blakey, Marso Rivière, Dam Van Huynh, Leila McMillan, and Christina Mertzani, performing in projects across both the UK and Hong Kong. As a choreographer, her work has been showcased at Resolution Festival and Pushkin House, reflecting her creative range and artistic vision.
With more than nine years of teaching experience, Athena is recognised for her precise and detailed pedagogical approach. Her teaching emphasises both technical excellence and expressive authenticity, supporting dancers at all levels in cultivating confidence, artistry, and individuality in their performance.
Her formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Dance from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and a Master’s degree in Creative Practice (Dance Professionals) from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, giving her both artistic depth and academic grounding in dance practice.
