Dan Cohen is a professional actor and acting coach. After completing a BA Hons in English Literature from the University of Leeds he went onto gain a Master in Acting.
Dan has performed on E4’s My Mad Fat Diary, ITV’s The Last Weekend and Noises Off at the Mercury Theatre, to mention just a few of his credits.
Focusing on Meisner, Dan believes that a thorough grounding in the technique will allow students to deepen their understanding and enjoyment of acting in general. He believes that Meisner is a great place to start developing your acting skills, but that it is also a way for more experienced actors to deepen their craft and add to their toolbox.
His classes focuses on unlocking the actor’s own instinctive impulsive responses, leading to performances with honesty and realism.
“I love helping students improve. By focussing on their individual needs, it is always extremely rewarding when they have those breakthrough moments and begin really connecting with the underlying emotional content of the work.”
