Douglas Hansell

Douglas graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He is an incredibly versatile actor and singer, working across film, television, theatre, musical theatre, cabaret, and concert platforms, as well as as a voiceover artist in Australia and the UK. He has worked with some of the world’s leading creatives including Alain Boublil and Philip Barantini. He is also a recipient of the Mike Walsh Fellowship (2013).

Doug is in high demand as an acting and singing coach who taught at some of the most prestigious institutions in Australia and the UK including the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Mountview Academy and Associated Studios London.

With over 760 performances completed, Douglas concluded his time with the Broadway hit musical Come From Away. His other theatre credits include The Wharf Revue – Open For Business (Sydney Theatre Company) and Titanic (Charing Cross Theatre). His past Film & Television credits include Adrift (Lakeshore Productions), Home and Away (Channel Seven) and currently, Malpractice, streaming on ITV.
