Gemma Storr is an award-winning music leader and musical director with a passion for live performance, devised composition, and community music. With extensive experience spanning theatre, opera, and international touring, she has collaborated with Mahogany Opera, Thames Opera Company, Royal Opera’s Community Chorus, and The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians. Gemma currently leads as Musical Supervisor for Roaring Voices and Creative Director of Minds Ear Orchestra, and has previously directed the Sing for Freedom Choir.
Her performance credits include work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Complicité, and Mahogany Opera. A committed educator and scholar, she holds advanced degrees from Trinity Laban and the London College of Music, where she is a PhD scholar in ensemble composition and improvisation.
Gemma’s training includes prestigious fellowships and programmes with the Royal Philharmonic Society and the Association of British Choral Directors.
