Helen began learning ballet at a young age and then expanded her training in different dance styles such as tap, modern, jazz and Greek. Later, she was introduced to contemporary, which she particularly grew to love. She carried this on studying for a BA (Hons) at Northern School of Contemporary Dance where she worked with Ben Duke (Lost Dog), Ella Mesma, Amaury Lebrun and Tough Boys Collective. Since graduating, Helen has been living in London as a freelance performer, choreographer and teacher, curating her own dance style. She believes Ballet is fundamental in dance as it teaches use of precision, musicality and strength. Honing in on these practices, her classes will explore the strengths of your own body, and the release of exploring a new style.
“My classes will centre around exploring the strength of your own body, through laying a good foundation of technique and keeping the classes a fun and exciting outlet.”
