Subjects taught by Jason Moran:
Improvisation Acting

One of our improvisation acting tutors, Jason trained at The Gaiety School of Acting and The Dublin School of Acting. He has since worked with Dublin based theatre companies including The Troubadour Players, Arclite Productions and Fiasco Productions.

Jason’s recent credits include Johnny in Red Roses and Petrol, Seph in Carthaginians (Andrews Lane Theatre) and Howie Newsome in Our Town (Pavilion Theatre). He has also had extensive training in improvisation and is currently a cast member of the LiveWired! Comedy Improvisation Group, with a residency at The London Improv Theatre.

In class Jason aims to create a safe, friendly environment, where students can make mistakes and learn without fear of embarrassment of failure. He believes that improvisation is a skill that can be transferable to all areas of life, and enjoys watching his students grow in confidence as the weeks go by – seeing how his classes can have a positive effect on them personally and well as professionally.

“Excellent encouraging tutor, very clear structure and explanations of how to use newly learnt skills. Plenty of clear feedback for everyone. Importantly, our tutor nurtured a supportive group and went beyond expectations to make it a collaborative, friendly experience. We all definitely learnt a lot in a short time and want to continue to learn improv”
