Leandros Taliotis

Leandros Taliotis is an international operatic baritone based in the UK. He has performed to critical acclaim in Europe and beyond in opera, oratorio and recital. After reading Music as a choral scholar at Cambridge University, Leandros won scholarship to the Royal College of Music and later trained at Flanders Opera Studio. He has been engaged as a soloist by European opera houses including Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf and Duisburg), De Vlaamse Opera, Antwerp and Teatro Rendano, Cosenza and numerous UK companies and festivals. Roles include Alfio (Cavalleria Rusticana), Zurga (The Pearl Fishers), Germont (La Traviata), Dandini (La Cenerentola), Tempter (The Martyrdom of St. Magnus), Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), and Tarquinius (The Rape of Lucretia).

Leandros has appeared as a concert soloist in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Japan, France, Greece and throughout the United Kingdom. Highlights include Hatzis’ Everlasting Light in Athens and the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Bach St John Passion at the Barbican, Mahler’s Songs of a Wayfarer with Brent Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven Symphony no.9 at Snape Maltings, Carmina Burana in Antwerp and Ghent and Belshazzar’s Feast in Manchester. Leandros is in demand as a singing teacher. He is passionate about vocal repertoire, performing and technique and loves nurturing and mentoring singers, young and old. He has a burgeoning private studio in London and works with students at two independent schools with strong musical traditions.
