Leona Lawrenson

Leona is an energetic and versatile dancer, choreographer, and movement coach with a rich background in performance and teaching. A graduate of Bird College with a three-year Diploma in Dance, she brings a unique blend of technical precision, creative flair, and boundless enthusiasm to every class.

Leona’s professional credits include an 18-month run as a dancer in the West End production of Thriller Live, as well as appearances in high-profile projects such as Elton John’s Bennie and the Jets music video (directed by Aaron Sillis, 2024) and JD Sports’ Summer 2024 campaign, where she served as Movement Director.

With a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, she fuses dance and fitness in engaging, dynamic sessions—whether leading Open Dance Collective, a hip hop-inspired adult dance community, or coaching for Heels Up Company as a dance coach, assistant movement director, and choreographer.

Since 2023, Leona has also taught across a wide range of schools and age groups, from primary-aged children to adults. Known for her metaphor-rich teaching style and infectious humour, she delivers classes that are equal parts technically challenging and joyfully uplifting.
