
Lucy Foster is a writer & director represented by Jennifer Thomas at United Agents. For screen, Lucy is currently developing her first horror feature, feminist folk horror HULDRA, with Boudica Entertainment; she’s written two made-for-TV thrillers with Reel One Entertainment; and she directed her first two short films in 2023.
Her short film SANTA’AS LITTLE HELPER premiered in 2025 with Crossroad Pictures, which she is currently developing into a feature. She was also selected for the Frightfest 2023 New Blood Class for her feminist horror feature, HEADLESS CHICKS. Recent projects for theatre include a commission for Chronic Insanity with creepypasta horror play CUCKOO’S CORNER; development of new dark thriller play HOW TO KILL YOUR DARLINGS (co-written with Jon Barton) with Chalk Line Theatre; commission with Hampstead Theatre; and a Bush Theatre allotment for a new horror play.
She’s been shortlisted for the Verity Bargate Award, Theatre503 Playwriting Prize, and in 2019 she won the Alpine Fellowship Theatre Prize. She had her first short story, LOVELY GIRL, published in horror anthology TALES OF THE GOTHIC in 2024, and is developing a gothic horror novel. She is also the co-host of horror filmmaking podcast Scream to Screen, produced by the Independent Horror Society.
