Mariam Akintokun

Mariam is a professional Vocalist, coach and conductor, with experience from a young performer at the national theatre and globe, to perform on some of the world’s biggest stages, an all-around performer with a focus on vocals. She joined The London community gospel choir, and The Kingdom Choir, being taught but renowned vocal coaches and directors such as Dane Chalfin, Mark Delisser, Basil Meade and Karen Gibson.

She began her journey as a professional session and backing vocalist, in the UK and abroad, at special events such as the Dubai Expo Centre, The Dubai Opera House, The Prince of Monaco Palace, the Invictus Games and Strictly Come Dancing. As a vocal coach, choir director and arranger, she works with private clients, schools, to corporate spaces, sharing her love for music and developing confidence and vocal technique. Her credits include The 1975, Justin Timberlake, Little Simz, SAULT, Tyla, Miça Paris, Corrine Bailey Rae, Kathy Sledge, Gladys Knight and the Royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Prince Harry and Meghan), and many more.
