Nuala McGowan

Nuala McGowan

Nuala is a professionally trained actor. She graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2011 with a BA(Hons) in Performance (Acting), and she has also completed an MA in Voice Studies and Tuition from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Nuala is a voice, accent and singing coach, and her voice work is influenced by the Estill Voice Model, where she holds a certificate of Estill Figure Proficiency. She has supported students at various institutions, including Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, East15, Collective Acting Studio and the Irish Cultural Centre. She is an actor with 18 years of professional experience in stage, screen, and voiceover, and a professional singer who regularly gigs with her Irish folk band Ceolíní.

Nuala’s classes are relaxed, playful, and explorative, with students trying things out first and ‘getting it right’ later. Her students learn technique and its application in a supportive environment, and students leave with at least one new skill that they can work on and develop in their own time.

“Everyone is encouraged to dive in and try things out. The best way to learn is to give it a go! Strong and wrong, not light and right!”
