Ravi Chandarana

I’m a London-based photographer who has a decade of experience. I trained as a lighting assistant, notably working with Brian Griffin and a roster of Magnum Photographers. Drawn to the quiet complexity of people and their stories, my work blends a technical approach with emotional nuance shaped by a multicultural upbringing in London.

Each portrait I create is a process of discovery. Through careful lighting, symbolic props, and thoughtful staging, I aim to reveal the essence of a person who they are, where they’ve been, and what they carry. Whether working with individuals, brands, or agencies, I bring a considered presence to the process, focused on building portraits with longevity, character, and connection at the forefront.
