Rhiannon Munson-Hobbs’s love of dance began at a young age, and was enhanced by her time in the National Youth Ballet of Great Britain, which benefits from the patronage of ballet experts such as Darcey Bussell and Carlos Acosta. After graduating from the London Studio Centre with a BA(Hons) in Theatre Dance, Rhiannon toured the UK with contemporary dance companies.
She then spent a few years in Paris as a showgirl and cancan soloist, initially at prestigious Parisian cabaret La Nouvelle Eve, and then for companies such as César Palace and A La Folie Revue. Rhiannon furthered her travels by gaining a place in the Jean Ann Ryan company and danced onboard the luxurious Regent Seven Seas Mariner.
After touring Holland with Irish dance company Spirit of the Dance, Rhiannon returned to London and successfully auditioned to become a part of London’s leading burlesque troupe The Folly Mixtures where she performed as a soloist at prestigious venues such as Café de Paris and Privee of Knightsbridge alongside international cabaret performers.
“Teaching has always been a huge passion and I am thrilled to be sharing my love of dance as a Ballet and Burlesque Teacher with the students of City Academy.”
