
Samuel is a theatre maker, tutor and formerly an actor. Having trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Samuel’s acting career saw him work on multiple projects across the UK in theatre, film, television and radio (BBC, Citizens Theatre, Vanishing Point, National Theatre of Scotland), as well as touring internationally.
Retraining as a theatre maker in 2016, Samuel studied towards an MA in Dramaturgy & Writing for Performance at Goldsmiths. He has been three times nominated as a writer for best screenplay for his short film Nobody’s Darling, and has developed work at Camden People’s Theatre, Perth Theatre and Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
He also has significant experience as an Associate Director and Dramaturg. As a tutor, Samuel has worked for several years with City Academy, along with projects for Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Identity School of Acting, and NYT. Finally, Samuel is a trained social worker, specialising in Mental Health.
