Simon Wegrzyn is an Award Winning Director and Writer.
He has worked in the TV & Film industry for 4 years, specifically in Comedy and Drama, and in the Theatre industry since 2010.
His most known work is TV comedy Filcher & Crook, a Mighty Fine Production for Channel 4 Comedy Blaps. It starred Tim Downie (BBC Upstart Crow, Channel 4 Toast of London) and Emily Joyce (BBC My Hero, Channel 4 Friday Night Dinner).
Simon was the writer and director of LGBTQ+ short film Hold Hands or Hide. The film introduces the lasting psychological effects of hate crime victimisation and has reaped worldwide success with many awards including Best Writer, Best LGBT Short, and Best Short Film.
Simon also directed The Revenge of Anubis, a comedy radio play written by Tim Downie for BBC Radio recorded live at Ealing Studios.
As a Theatre Director his work includes; The Tempest, Buckets, Animal Farm, and Philip Pullman’s Grimm Tales for the City Academy Actors Company at the Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton. Theatre Director work also includes Sleeping Beauty at the Lyric Theatre Belfast, Alice in Wonderland at The Castle Wellingborough, A Cup of Tea with Death at the Roundhouse in Camden, and The Comedy of Errors at the Cockpit Theatre.“Simon is a very inspirational acting teacher.
