Simon Wegrzyn

Simon Wegrzyn is a TV, Film and Theatre Director, and acting tutor, currently in pre-production for a new TV Comedy ‘Relationshop’ and feature film ‘Marta’ based on the true story of his Grandma.

He has worked in the TV & Film industry for 3 years, specifically in comedy and drama. As a Director, his credits include, Filcher & Crook for Channel 4 Comedy Blaps. Other work includes festival shortlisted film, No Ordinary Family, the Official Selection Sunday Shorts Festival 2018.

Simon has also directed the BBC Radio Play, The Revenge of Anubis written by Tim Downie which was recorded live at Ealing Studios. He has just completed a production on Hold Hands or Hide, an LGBTQ+ short film which introduces the lasting psychological effects following hate crime victimisation.

As well as TV, Film and Radio and teaching acting lessons, Simon works in theatre and his directing credits include, a new adaptation of George Orwell’s Animal Farm, Philip Pullman’s Grimm Tales for the City Academy Actors Company, Sleepying Beauty, Lyric Theatre Belfast, Alice in Wonderland, The Castle Wellingborough. His devised work includes, A Cup of Tea With Dealth, The Camden Roundhouse and The Comedy of Errors at the Cockpit Theatre.
