Sophia Priolo is an actor, choreographer, dancer and ballet instructor from Birmingham, AL who has recently relocated her home and career to central London.

She trained as a classical ballet dancer with the Alabama Dance Theatre where she was a member of the corps de ballet for 6 years. Performance repertoire included Fokin and Petipa's original choreography of Les SylphidesSwan Lake, and Paquita, as well as new productions of CinderellaPeter PanA Christmas Carol, and contemporary works set by resident and guest choreographers. In 2008, she was accepted to and attended the Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive in NYC and in 2009 performed in dance festivals and competitions around the southeast, including SERBA, and was a placing finalist in the Dance Division of the Alabama ACES competition.

Sophia found her voice and a passion for singing through performing in high school musicals and studied music at the University of Montevallo, graduating in 2015, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.A. in Music (voice).

Sophia's work as a choreographer has been seen in both opera and musical theatre productions, including: Hamlet (Opera Birmingham), The Desert Song and Die Fledermaus (Birmingham Music Club) as well as various Broadway style concerts and full scale school productions of The Music ManFiddler on the Roof, and Meet Me in St. Louis. Last year Sophia choreographed a production of The Sound of Music for London's Bayswater Suzuki Group Summer Extravaganza and most recently was fight choreographer for both the world premiere of The Twelve Chairs, at the Embassy Theatre and a performance excerpt of a new play entitled, Noise, by Freya Storch for the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama BA Performance Arts Showcase 2019.

From 2009-2011 she studied BA Acting (Musical Theatre) at Faulkner University (USA) and has studied acting and stage combat privately and academically at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival since 2009. In 2016 she graduated from the Michael Howard Studios Summer Acting Conservatory in NYC and in 2018 she graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA in Music Theatre.
