Ed Goggin works as a theatre director and performing arts tutor. He read Drama and Music at Birmingham University and studied voice at the Birmingham Conservatoire of Music. Ed began his career singing in concerts in London, internationally and for the ENO, and subsequently worked as a singer in opera, musical theatre and cabaret.
As well as countless credits as both Musical Director and Arranger, Ed has been the Resident Director on several West End musicals including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Whistle Down the Wind (Aldwych Theatre), and The Woman in White (Palace Theatre) where he worked alongside Sir Trevor Nunn and several of the West End’s leading actors. Recently he was the Resident Director of Stephen Daldry’s Billy Elliot the Musical, winning the Olivier Audience Award 2013.
Ed has also taught and directed at many leading performing arts schools and colleges including Bird College, The Centre, The Poor School, PPA, Rose Bruford, Mountview, Italia Conti, GSA, The Royal College of Music and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
