Screen Acting

Gemma is a professional actor and Screen Acting tutor, and has performed both on screen and stage across the world. Originally from Australia, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) from Queensland University of Technology, as well as a Masters from The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, where she went on to teach.

As an actor she has appeared in ABC medical drama Pulse, La Boite Theatre Company’s critically acclaimed staging of Hamlet (Directed by David Berthold) and the Australian national tour of Goodbye Jamie Boyd, to mention just a few of her credits.

Gemma describes her classes as playful and interactive, and a safe space for students to experiment, grow and hone their skills.

What I enjoy about teaching is witnessing the growth of each student. It’s a pretty special thing to be a part of. Recognising their individual needs and tailoring the work to suit them can be challenging, but is ultimately the most rewarding part of teaching for me.
