Malik Rubio started dancing right here at City Academy as a student. Working through the different salsa courses at City Academy, he began travelling around Europe learning from the many different artists, concentrating on social dance across both Salsa and Bachata.

An regular social dancer on the London scene, Malik has taken part in several performance groups and gone on to establish himself as a regular teacher across the Salsa and Bachata scene with a particular focus on Bachata Sensual.

As a Salsa Dance Tutor, Malik focuses on the principles of lead and follow and technique in social dance as a passion point, whilst adding individual style to either dance discipline.
