William Hartley

Bio

Will is an actor, writer and facilitator with 20 years of experience in comedy and performance. He spent many years with the award-winning sketch group Clever Peter, which went on to make a BBC Radio 4 series. He also co-created and wrote the comedy drama Zomboat!, which aired on ITV2 and Hulu.

His screen acting credits include the BAFTA Kids-nominated series Fit, Tracey Ullman Breaks the News (BBC), The One Griff (BBC) and Cardinal Burns (Channel 4). More recently, Will has performed two solo shows: the comedy Western GUN, which played at the Assembly Rooms and toured Brazil, and the pirate adventure Cutlass at The Glitch.

As a tutor, Will starts with each student’s experience and what they hope to achieve. He believes people do their best work when they feel relaxed enough to play and supported enough to try something unfamiliar. His sessions offer a welcoming space to explore ideas, develop skills and learn from the things that don’t go quite as planned.

Will brings the same curiosity and sense of fun to teaching that have shaped his work as a performer. He wants students to feel challenged, supported and excited about what they can create.
