Our Script Writing Beginners course is a practical introduction to writing for film, television and theatre, designed for adults who want to shape their ideas into scenes, characters and stories.


Available as either a 6-week course or a 2-day intensive, this course gives you the tools to understand how scripts work, how dramatic stories are built and how to begin developing your own writing with confidence.


Working with an experienced writing tutor, you will explore plot, character, dialogue and scene structure through guided exercises, discussion and supportive feedback. Whether you have a specific idea in mind or are starting from scratch, this course will help you take your first steps as a script writer.

6-week course

The 6-week format gives you time to develop your script writing gradually. Across weekly sessions, you will explore different elements of storytelling, with space between classes to reflect, write and build confidence.

This option is ideal if you would like regular creative structure, ongoing tutor support and time to develop your ideas step by step.

Cancellations Policy

Our cancellation policy depends on the course you have booked.

 

Weekly courses and one-day workshops
Cancel at least 72 hours before your course starts to receive a full refund, course credit or a free transfer to another available date. Cancellations made within 72 hours will receive course credit instead.

 

Intensive courses of five consecutive days or more
Cancel at least 7 days before your course starts to receive a full refund, course credit or a free transfer. Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice will usually receive course credit instead.

 

We are unable to offer refunds for missed classes or non-attendance.
