Jazz Dance - not to be confused with Jazz Music - is a "full-out with feeling" class that will have you dancing like you're on the West End stage! It is the primary dance style you see on stage, with many musicals featuring modern, high-energy jazz choreography. It has varying subgenres which have been brought to the world stage by the likes of Fred Astaire, Fame and Dance Moms. Warm-Up and Strength Prepare the body with focused warm-ups designed to improve flexibility, mobility, strength and safe movement. Control and Precision Develop coordination, footwork, alignment and movement control through structured technical exercises. Across-the-Floor Work Practise travelling sequences including kicks, turns and jumps to build confidence, flexibility and dynamic movement. Choreography Pickup Learn multiple routines across the course, improving memory, flow and your ability to pick up choreography.
