Acting Intermediate Classes

Our Acting Classes - Intermediate are designed for those who have already completed at least two Acting Improvers courses or equivalent vocational training, such as a Level 3 or 4 Diploma or BA in Drama, Theatre Studies or Performing Arts.

In this challenging and rewarding course, you will refine your acting craft, deepen your understanding of performance techniques, and stretch your creativity through script and scene work, dramatic improvisation, and a variety of established acting methods. Under the guidance of an experienced industry professional, you will work towards an in-class rehearsed and directed performance that showcases your skills.

The acting course is both demanding and inspiring, giving you the opportunity to consolidate your existing knowledge while introducing advanced techniques to take your acting to the next level. Working in an equally-committed ensemble, you'll explore complex monologues and duologues while deepening your technical and creative skillsets.

Completely new to acting?

If you’re just starting out, we recommend beginning with one of our Acting Beginners courses. These friendly beginner courses will help you build confidence, learn essential acting techniques and understand how to perform naturally in front of an audience.

Do I need to have completed Improvers Acting before joining?
Yes, you should have completed at least two Acting Improver courses or equivalent vocational training to ensure you are ready for the pace and level of this course.

Is there a final performance?
Yes, you will work towards an in-class rehearsed and directed performance in front of your peers.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a notebook for script and rehearsal notes.

Do I need to prepare a monologue or scene before starting?
No. All scripts will be provided, and scene assignments will be set by your tutor.

What acting techniques will we use?
You will explore methods including Stanislavski, Laban and Chekhov, alongside improvisation and vocal development exercises.

Cancellations Policy

Our cancellation policy depends on the course you have booked.

 

Weekly courses and one-day workshops
Cancel at least 72 hours before your course starts to receive a full refund, course credit or a free transfer to another available date. Cancellations made within 72 hours will receive course credit instead.

 

Intensive courses of five consecutive days or more
Cancel at least 7 days before your course starts to receive a full refund, course credit or a free transfer. Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice will usually receive course credit instead.

 

We are unable to offer refunds for missed classes or non-attendance.
