Colin Leggo

Colin Leggo is a professional stand-up comedian, writer and current UK Pun Champion. He has taken many successful shows to the Edinburgh Festival as a performer, director and producer. In 2017, Colin was featured on the Daily Telegraph’s ‘50 best Jokes of the Fringe’ list, and in March the same year, an article about Colin’s joke writing process was featured in the Daily Mirror.

He is also the co-founder and host of the popular South London Comedy Club ‘Comedy Trumpet.’ Founded in 2007, the club has played host to many new and well-established acts from the UK comedy circuit. Branded as ‘South London’s Friendliest Comedy Club’ by Timeout Magazine, many household names have regularly returned to the club to try out material including Sara Pascoe, Joe Wilkinson, Stewart Lee, Tape Face, Bec Hill, Reginald D Hunter and many more.

Colin is also fully qualified Teacher, receiving his PGCE from London Metropolitan University in 2010. Since then he has taught Acting and Performing at schools, colleges, universities and in independent workshops. As a stand up comedy teacher, Colin strives to make his learning environment comfortable and safe, crucial when people are trying something new for the first time. His two years of Improvisation Training at The Monkey Toast School of Improv allow Colin to work in a free and adaptable way, helping students organically find their comedy persona and material.
