Musical Theatre Classes
Rowland is a Musical Theatre Tutor, Musical Director, Arranger and Accompanist who has worked on numerous Musical Theatre productions in the UK and Ireland, and in his native Australia. His credits include Footloose (UK Tour), Christmas – The Musical (London), The Dressers (Dublin), West Side Story (Melbourne), Into the Woods (Melbourne) and The Last 5 Years (Melbourne).
Rowland is an enthusiastic teacher who loves meeting new people and watching his students improve. He finds teaching incredibly rewarding as it gives him the opportunity to see people push themselves and achieve results they did not believe they were capable of before.
In class Rowland aims to create a vibrant, comfortable and safe space for students. He focuses on teaching breathing, posture and correct vocal technique, whilst singing a variety of popular musical theatre songs.
“Rowland is a fantastic teacher who was really focused on getting the best out of each and everyone of us. I certainly wouldn’t have ordinarily chosen the songs I did had it not been for him. This helped me hugely, it pushed me out of my comfort zone and showed me what my voice is capable of. Rowland created the right environment for us all to feel less nervous and comfortable in the solo work and never judged. I loved every second.”
