Tommy Ramsay holds a BA in Fine Art from Chelsea Art College and an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art. He has been a practising artist for over a decade and works across painting, drawing and screen printing and exhibits regularly.
He works with numerous institutions including UAL and has worked with groups of all ages and abilities. Tommy likes to help students grow the confidence to experiment, learn new skills and have fun with the goal of students with finding their own personal way of making.
“I often like to start off with a series of warm up exercises which enable students to loosen up and to test out more experimental and fun ways of working. These warmup activities often then feed back into the more ‘serious’ practical making elements of the class. As a tutor, my aim is to help students learn new ways and gain confidence in expressing and discovering their own personal language.”
