A fusion of African American art with Irish influence, Tap Dance is a great way to keep active and express yourself. This Beginners course is a step-by-step guide to the essential sounds, moves and rhythms of tap dance. Starting off by learning the sounds you can make, and their names, you will build up to simple steps – both on the spot and traveling. You will also learn about rhythm and how to develop the subtle light and shade needed for your introduction to Tap Dance. Our Tap Dance Beginners Course is perfect if you’re new to the Tap Dancing world and want to get involved.You'll receive friendly feedback throughout the Tap Dancing Course. Basic Tap Steps Practise beginner tap steps that introduce the sound, coordination and feel of the style. Footwork and Coordination Build coordination through focused footwork exercises designed to improve clarity, accuracy and control. Tap Combinations Put steps together into short combinations, helping you connect rhythm, movement and musicality.
